| New analysis shows the average premium for U.S. homeowners coverage will grow by 4 percent this year to reach $3,057, reports Bloomberg (3/18/26, Kaufman). In Iowa, premiums jumped by 28 percent over the past year, according to an Insurify study that pins rising costs on more severe weather, much of it in the Midwest, reports News From The States (3/18/26, Koons). Premiums rose fastest in Minnesota and Colorado, Insurify found.
