Hurricanes Take Longer To Lose Power After Landfall

​It takes hurricanes longer to lose intensity after they make landfall than in the past, and scientists say climate change is the reason, reports the Associated Press (11/11/20, Borenstein). Warmer ocean waters function as a “reserve fuel tank" for moisture and thereby slow power loss, researchers say.​
