Named in honor of Jeff Albright’s extraordinary 45-year career in the insurance industry—including 36 years of dedicated service to IIABL—the Jeff Albright Award represents the highest honor IIABL bestows upon an insurance professional who is not an independent insurance agent. Jeff Albright is widely respected across Louisiana for his leadership in governmental affairs, where he worked tirelessly with the state legislature and Department of Insurance to protect policyholders and agents alike.
Established to reflect the values and spirit of Jeff’s legacy, this award celebrates industry partners, legislative leaders, and others who have made exceptional contributions to the insurance industry. Honorees embody the same unwavering commitment, integrity, and impact that defined Jeff Albright’s distinguished career.
David Tatman
2024 Recipient
David Tatman is a longtime friend of IIABL: Lobbyist, consultant, and insurance industry advocate. He founded The Tatman Group in 1997 which has become one of Louisiana’s leading association management and government relations firms. He is a dedicated community leader, devoted husband, father, businessman, and public servant who has significantly contributed to the prosperity of Baton Rouge. David has represented IIABL at the Louisiana Legislature for many years, providing valuable assistance helping to protect the interests of IIABL members and their policyholders.
