TRUMP WANTS INPUT ON FEMA’S FUTURE

​President Donald Trump's advisors on revamping the Federal Emergency Management Agency want insight from Louisiana disaster-preparedness officials, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune (3/10/25, Ballard). The president's FEMA Review Council will convene in April to report on the agency's strengths and shortcomings, then make recommendations for changes by summer, reports the Times-Picayune (3/9/25, Ballard). Reform could include closing FEMA and shifting more disaster response to the states, an idea that President Trump said he would consider.​
