SENATOR: “DEAL TO BE HAD” ON HEALTHCARE

Louisiana’s U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy said there is “a deal to be had” on lowering Americans’ healthcare costs after a pair of bills fell short of advancing in the Senate, reports CBS News (12/14/25, Hubbard). Also this week, state leaders extended by 90 days a Medicaid contract with UnitedHealthcare after news that it would not be renewed threw more than 300,000 people into coverage limbo, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune (12/15/25, Friedman).
